If your tooth hurts, using a cotton swab to put clove oil on the sensitive area could help. You should be able to buy clove oil at your local drug store or with other spices at a grocery store. Also, using a painkiller could help.
We also recommend cleaning and drying your cap and tooth. If you can slide your crown over the tooth again, place some cement or an adhesive to your cap. Please, do not use super glue to bind your crown to your teeth.
While you may not need to visit your dentist immediately, it is important to go soon. Your dentist may offer you specific advice and restore your tooth.
